Beveridge Williams

The Maffra office commenced in 1974 when Surveyor J.D. Mulcahy L.S. left the State Rivers and Water Commission survey office in Maffra to set up in private practice. He practiced mainly as a cadastral surveyor, but also had expert knowledge of the operation of the MacAlister Irrigation District. In 1994 Surveyor Mulcahy believed it was time to cease surveying and move to Queensland. Local development consultancy firm, Kluge Jackson Consultants Pty. Ltd., were the successful purchasers of his practice. In 2008 Beveridge Williams merged with Kluge Jackson Consultants to combine the reach of Victoria?s largest regional survey firm with a wealth of local development knowledge in the central Gippsland district. The Maffra office now boasts access to over 50 years? experience in providing surveying, urban design, town planning, civil engineering, project management, landscape architecture, environmental consultants and contamination assessment services to the local land development industry. This empowers us to provide our local client base with the integrated consulting services needed to successfully acquire, plan, design, construct and manage development projects of all sizes from conception through to completion. The history of involvement in the local development sector that Beveridge Williams has inherited has also had the benefit of providing us with excellent established relationships with our region?s Councils, State government departments and service authorities. These relationships serve us greatly in achieving prompt project delivery for our private clients and have also led to our direct involvement in numerous public sector projects, which we have always completed both on time and within budget. Legendary local surveyor, John Jackson, mans our Maffra office every Wednesday and Friday or by appointment. On top of having provided top quality advice and service to local clients in surveying, planning and engineering matters for over 40 years, John brings excellent networks with local real estate agents, solicitors and Southern Rural Water that pave the way for constructive outcomes for all our clients. John is assisted by Maffra locals Amber Shingles, surveyor Michael Coleman and survey technician Ben Wright. Town Planning is handled by Chris Curnow, a professional town planner with over 13 years? experience who provides discrete planning advice, secures planning permits for developments big and small, organizes land rezonings and represents our clients at VCAT. The Beveridge Williams? Maffra Office has an excellent track record of achieving success in an accurate, timely and cost effective fashion and fully deserves its impeccable reputation in the local development sector.
