The Country Road Cycling Route
As this ride leaves Maffra it travels to Newry through quiet back roads and flat farming land. After a short steep section, it crosses the Macalister River at Lanigans Bridge to the Glenmaggie Weir Wall and follows the edge of the lake for several kilometres, before turning to Heyfield, then to Tinamba and heading back through flat dairy country.

Grade: Level 2?3. Level 2 ? Suitable for most ages and fitness levels, some riding experience recommended. Level 3 ? Challenging rides requiring experience and a good level of fitness.

Getting there: Travel via Monash Freeway (M1) and Princes Highway (A1) to Kilmany and take the C487 turn off to Maffra approximately 220km east of Melbourne.
