LOCATION Right in the heart of Maffra on Johnson St (the main strip), our prime location makes a perfect base for a moments' walk to everything in town, including our great pubs, cafés and shops.Maffra is a wonderful place to stay while you visit beautiful Central Gippsland. Surrounded by stunning bush and picturesque farmland, we’re a short drive to some of the region’s greatest offerings.You'll be staying in the Old Bakery shop front section of the house, all located conveniently on the ground floor.

LOUNGE Snuggle up with a book by the fire in the romantic sitting room. This old parlour features an open working fireplace for those cooler Gippsland evenings, 100s of rare and unique books to read, and a gallery wall full of rotating old and new art on freshly painted walls.

BED/LOUNGE/DINING The light and airy open plan dining and entertainment area features a brand new queen size bed, lounge and dining area.

WIFI is included and our large Smart TV features Netflix, Stan and FoxtelNow, as well as a PS4 with plenty of games.

OUTDOOR The picturesque courtyard is huge! Enjoy a wine and BBQ at dusk by the fish pond or coffee in the morning on the patio. You have access to the courtyard via the front gate which along with the front door, are your own private entrances.

Smoking is permitted in the courtyard but not in the building. An ashtray can be supplied on request.

KITCHEN The kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, microwave, sink, toaster, kettle, French press and all the tableware essentials. We can supply a portable heated cooking pan on request.

BATH Our decadent, ample-sized bathroom includes a walk-in shower, heated floor and towel rack, vanity, and plenty of towels and bath consumables. It’s also fully wheelchair accessible.

PETS We are happy to accommodate pets in the building (upon approval) who are also welcome to enjoy the fully secure courtyard, however we do request an extra pet cleaning fee of $20.

MORE INFO After its time as a bakery, the Victorian terrace served as an antique store, and now is the home of a local artist and designer, Kate Fox. This space has been painstakingly decorated by Kate to reflect the many lives of the building in her own eclectic style.

A guided tour of Kate’s studio, or the still stocked antique warehouse at the back of the property including the original bakery ovens, is available to all guests upon request, we’d love to show you around!

Guest access You have private access to the property with a lockbox code. The code will be supplied by Kate via text leading up to your stay.

Guests have exclusive use of the 'shop front' area of the property. The courtyard is yours to use, however it is technically a 'shared space'. You may see us exit via the courtyard through our own private exit to the rear of the property. We want you to enjoy as much privacy as you need, so we will absolutely do our best to avoid the area.
